Course Description

Methamphetamine has been a problematic substance in the Western United States for more than a decade. Today, many Eastern and Mid-Atlantic states are reporting significant increases in use, treatment, hospital incidents, arrests, etc. This workshop is designed to increase a helping professional's awareness of the bio-psychosocial effects of methamphetamines on the individual, the family and society. Participants can expect to learn the following: 1) the drug, what it is; 2) human physiology, short and long term effects.
